I find myself so intrigued with a ladies' purse and everything she can't leave the house without; It can truly say a lot about who they are! Looking through magazines, the first thing that my attention is directed towards are the celebrity bag unveilings. I find it entertaining to read about what strange things some people tote around with them and what others consider essentials in their bags.
Currently, I'm sporting a beautiful black and greige leather Steve Madden tote with a chained cross body attachment that I discovered at TJ Maxx. I absolutely adore the leather detailing and of course I'm loving that gold detailing!
The inside consists of a herringbone-like pattern which adds a nice, yet subtle touch to the inside! There are two pockets on the sidewall of the bag which usually contains loose coins and always a pack of some sort of minty gum! This girl can not leave the house without some sort of mint gum on hand, definitely a must have! On the opposite sidewall a zippered pockets sits which I like to home a little USB drive, an extra cell phone charger for my car in case of emergencies, and my handy dandy Apple headphones. It seems like whenever I am in desperate need of headphones I never have them with me, so I attempt to always have an extra pair at my side at all times.
I love planning for the month's events so I carry a planner with me to keep track of everything happening at school and my work schedule. I'm telling you, if I don't write down even the little things going on in my day to day life I will forget it! I love feeling organized and prepared for all the day's events. On the same note, I like to keep a journal handy to keep track of ideas for blog posts, hair styles, makeup looks, you name it! I'm such a visually creative person that I need to draw and map out everything while its fresh in my mind or I'll forget literally five minutes later. As far as writing utensils go, I constantly have at least 3 pens in my bag. But I swear, when I'm trying to find one to jot down some notes, I can't find a single one! I should definitely be on the look out for a cute pen bag to be a little more organized with that! Any suggestions?
I was on the hunt for the longest time for just a simple wallet with gold detailing and it seemed like everywhere I found one, it wasn't quite exactly what I was looking for. I was in desperate need of a different wallet because the one I had was completely falling apart and to be honest, it was one of those clamp ones and it wasn't closing anymore because it was too small! Finally, I found this simple and delicate one at Walmart in a brown shade with a lovely gold bar and zipper for accent pieces which I really enjoy! Super affordable and definitely gets the job done!
When it comes to cosmetics, I absolutely adore this little Oh La La bag I found at Forever21! It's the perfect size for my can't live without Buxom Lipgloss in the colour White Russian (seriously, have you tried that lipgloss, it's gorgeous). I carry with me a travel size hand lotion, especially in these winter months my hands get so dry working with hair and my hands always in water dehydrating my skin. Currently, I'm using one from last years summer collection that I found hidden away in my Bath & Body Works stash (guilty) called Bourbon Street Buttercream. Other items to be found in my on the go bag is my Maybelline Master Conceal Concealer (this product is no joke, FULL coverage!), a NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown, a mini Klorane Floral Water Makeup Remover, and some Eyelash Adhesive. Now, when it comes to lip products my little bag can get a little overwhelmed with lip glosses and mini lipsticks, currently I have a NYX Butter Gloss Creme Brulee, an Essence XXXL longlasting lipgloss in Soft Nude, and a mini Smashbox lipstick in the colour Fig. A girl can never have too many options! These lip products are nice to have around for touch ups and they all pair really well with any eye makeup that I might already be wearing for that day.
Last but certainly not least, I always have hair bands and bobby pins with me for those days when I'm just not feeling my hair down and in my face. I love the colorful elastic hair ties, they are so soft and gentle on my hair that they never leave those irritating bumps from having your hair pulled up into a pony tail all day!
