Season Favorites

Wait, what? December already? I've been anticipating the Christmas season but I honestly didn't think that it would approach us so soon! Nonetheless, I am patiently waiting for my nights filled with light tours, homemade hot cocoa (yummy, my favorite), and Christmas movies! One of my absolute favorites is definitely Elf; there is just something about that movie that makes me so happy and I just love it! Let me know what your favorite Christmas movie is in the comment section below!

One of my favorite activities during this time of year is touring the Christmas lights in the neighboring towns. Last year, my family discovered the choreographed Christmas lights that dance with a selected radio station, and let me tell you, it was probably one of the coolest things that I've seen during this time of the year. If you  have no idea what I'm taking about and love touring the lights, I would highly recommend looking into it around your town, there is bound to be something close to where you live. It all just seems so magical and for some strange reason I get so intrigued with the concept of it. Definitely share your experiences if you have seen these Christmas lights in years past. I'll try to get some videos up of the ones I see this year!

A few years ago my family started a tradition of driving around in our pajamas and slippers looking at all the lights while drinking our homemade hot chocolate on the night of Christmas Eve. I really feel like it's the little things like this that makes me love Christmas as much as I do. I think it's such a fun activity and it really gets me in the mood for the day after. Now, I mentioned that we drink homemade hot chocolate; we make it in a crock-pot. You guys, if you have not tried crock-pot hot chocolate before you need to dig in your cupboard, grab that crock-pot of yours, and start whipping it up! You will not be disappointed, oh my goodness, it's literally like the heavens open up and all the angels sing it is DELICIOUS; definitely my favorite! Do you have special recipes that your family cooks up during this time of the year?

These are obviously just a few of my favorite things for the Christmas season. They may seem like silly things but they bring my family together and I really feel like that is what this season is about; being kind to one another and spreading that good ol' Christmas cheer! Christmas can be so magical and I really enjoy everything that this season has to offer for myself and all of my family and friends. I hope each and everyone of you enjoy your season just as much as I plan to enjoy mine!

Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,
Latisha
